| Back in 1996 I bought my 71 1200 Beetle, originally as a parts donor for another project. However plans changed and I did a “budget restoration” and got the car on the road in 1997 for just after I passed my test. I used it for the next 4 years or so before it was parked up. It’s spent the last 10 years in garages in various states of strip down. It's been sat in the in-laws garage for the last 2 years and was worse than remembered when I collected it. | |

| If that's a 71 it's got the wrong rear wings Dude. It should have 1200 lights fitted. Much prettier. What are your plans? | |

| Yep wrong rear wings on it, they were on when the car was bought, and left due to finances originally. I've got the correct light units to go on once rebuilt and wings changed over.
Next step is to strip it fully down, then look where to start, possibly heather channels first and work from there, little by little | |
