| oh, forgot to mention, the following has all gone to be sand blasted tonight, should get it back saturday:
All the engine tinware
Fuel tank firewall
Fan
alternator holder than goes onto the fan housing
Pulley (the bit that goes on the alternator)
engine mounting bar
rear valance (have i got that right? it the big bit that closes the engine in and the engine lid latches on)

You need to drain the engine oil and the fuel tank.. not sure about the water on a water-cooled engine.. | |

| Carl, is that underseal ? It's ok but goes brittle with time, causing water to get behind and start rusting.
You would have been better off with a sealer more wax based, or more flexible when cured.

Just from experiance, over the years yes, but not tetraseal, it's an equivalent made by 3M.... Thanks for the tip though, I'll definitely keep a really close eye on it!.... I usually get under it at least once every year at MOT time so will definitely be checking.. cheers chap...... | |
